The president of the National Museum Foundation (FNM), Mehdi Qotbi while visiting Canberra, has been able to ensure a number of partnership projects with Australia, including the organization of an Andy Warhol exhibition in Morocco along with other Australian artists.
In a work visit to Australia from the 4th to the 8th of July, Qotbi stated that an exposition of Moroccan contemporary art and other one of medieval art could take place during the meetings that the FNM president is supposed to hold with the heads of the Australia’s national Gallery, the National gallery of Portraits and Australia’s National Museum as well as government officials responsible for cultural affairs.
Speaking to MAP news agency, Qotbi stressed that this visit aims at making Australians discover the Moroccan culture which is «very rich», recalling that openness to other cultures and peoples is the best way to build bridges between nations by eliminating all barriers and distances.
