The Portuguese Prime Minister arrived in Rabat for a two-day working visit

The Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa arrived in the Rabat-Salé airport on Monday for a two-day working visit to Morocco. Upon his arrival Mr. António Costa was greeted by his Moroccan counterpart, Saâdeddine El Othmani.

The Portuguese Prime Minister was received by the Minister of State for Human Rights, Mustapha Ramid, Minister of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development, Aziz Rebbah, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of the Reform of Administration and the Public Service, Mohamed Benabdelkader and the Secretary of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mounia Boucetta.

Mr. Costa was also greeted by the Wali of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, governor of Rabat prefecture, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region council chairman, governor of Salé prefecture, President of the commune council of Sale, the Portuguese ambassador in Rabat and the ambassador of Morocco in Portugal.

Accompanied by a large delegation composed of senior officials and businessmen, the Portuguese Prime Minister will co-chair, during this visit, alongside Saadded El Othmani, the 13th session of the Morocco-Portugal High Level Meeting. This meeting will be concluded by the signing of cooperation agreements covering various fields.

Likewise, Mr. Costa will, together with Mr. El Othmani, kick off the work of the Moroccan-Portuguese Economic Forum and will also hold talks with the Prime Minister and the Presidents of the House of Representatives.
