Lydec, an agency that manages potable water, electricity and liquid sanitation services for the city of Casablanca, announced on Monday that its teams are alerted and strengthened to intervene any time, following the heavy rains that the region is witnessing lately.

The agency in Casablanca said in a statement, that 386 agents, including executives and intervention operators specialized in sanitation as well as 116 agents specialized in electricity works are ready to rapidly intervene.

Lydec has also boosted the capacity of its customer service call center (05 22 31 20 20) to handle more requests, the source said. The group conducts a weather-watch based on Morocco weather forecasts, radar images and weather satellite images.

Based on this information, the management of the company's networks and infrastructures launches weather alerts that enable the operational teams to prepare themselves (network verification, preparation of adequate intervention equipment and organization of duty team rollovers).

Lydec says it has a monitoring and coordination center, operational since April 2016, which is composed of a customer relations center (CRC), an operations coordination center (CCO), a watch center and its Conduct and  Crisis Management Center (CGC).
