According to a ranking published by FIFA, Morocco national football team had the best defensive record in qualifying across the 32 teams that reached Russia.

«They conceded just once in their eight matches, in a 1-0 defeat to Equatorial Guinea in Africa’s second round back in November 2015», wrote football’s governing body. «This meant they went the entire third round group stage - nine hours of football – without conceding», says FIFA.

Munir Mohamedi is Africa's best goalkeeper, letting only one goal in after 720 minutes of play, and Mehdi Benatia is the best defender on the continent.

The Atlas Lions will participate in the 2018 World Cup in Group B alongside the Spanish, Portuguese and Iranian teams.
