Dutch-born Moroccan footballer Sofyan Amrabat has joined the Belgian league after his former club Feyenoord Rotterdam reached an agreement with Club Brugge on Friday, 24th of August, says the Belgian club on its website.

The midfielder signed a four-year contract with the club for a 2.5 million-euro deal.

The 22-year-old player joined the Dutch club Feyenoord in 2017, where he made 21 appearances and scored one goal. He played four seasons, before that, with FC Utrecht.

Although he was born in Huizen, the Netherlands, Sofyan Amrabat debuted his international career with the Morocco national football team. But before joining the Atlas Lions he represented the Morocco national under-17 football team at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

In May 2018, Sofyan Amrabat, alongside his brother Nordin, was selected by Hervé Renard to play with Morocco’s World Cup squad in Russia.
