Tangier : 30 Moroccan nationals prevented from crossing the Mediterranean

The Royal Gendarmerie alongside the local authorities carried out an operation, preventing a group of Moroccan nationals from illegally crossing the Mediterranean on the 3rd of November in the Tahadart beach, near Tangier.

This operation resulted in the arrest of four organizers, 30 Moroccan nationals including three girls, as well as the seizure of two inflatable boats, four vehicles used to transport migrants, eight lifejackets and five cans, says MAP.

The first elements of the investigation allowed the arrest of the main organizer. All those arrested and the material seized will be made available to the courts.

An investigation is carried out to reveal the activities of the network, concluded the same source.
