A Moroccan delegation will travel to Geneva to take part on Dec. 5-6 in a round table on the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said Monday.
The participation of this Moroccan delegation takes place following the invitation sent by the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General Horst Köhler on September, 28, 2018, and November 23, 2018, to Morocco, Algeria, the Polisario and Mauritania, the ministry added in a statement.
The Moroccan delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, will include Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Omar Hilale, President of the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region, Sidi Hamdi Ould Errachid, President of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, Ynja Khattat, and Fatima Adli, community actor and member of the Smara municipal council.
