Shortly after the Ethiopian Airlines crash took place, American aircraft manufacturing company announced, Monday, that it would update software in the 737 Max 8 involved in the tragedy.

The decision was taken after the Federal Aviation Administration announced that it would mandate «design changes» in the aircraft by April, reports Reuters.

According to the same source, «the software upgrade will be deployed across the 737 Max fleet in the coming weeks».

This is not the only decision taken after the plane crashed, killing 157 people, including two Moroccan men. In the Kingdom, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced that it has suspended the use of Boeing's new 737 MAX 8 aircraft, following the Ethiopian Airlines crash.

The decision was taken to «start aircraft maintenance», RAM CEO Abdelhamid Addou said on Monday, March the 11th.

Ethiopian Airlines and the Civil Aviation Administration of China have also announced that they are suspending flight of the same model.

For the record, an Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed, Sunday, 6 minutes after take-off from Addis Ababa near Bishoftu, located 60 km away from the capital, wrote ENA quoting the Prime Minister’s office.
