Tuesday is the 1st of Ramadan in Morocco, Islamic Affairs Ministry says

Tuesday, May the 7th, is the 1st of Ramadan in Morocco, the Ministry of Religious Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced on Sunday in a communiqué.

This announcement was made after moonsighting, performed Sunday in the Kingdom, proved that today is the last day of Sha’ban, the same source said.

Several countries around the world will be celebrating the 1st day of the holy month on Monday, including France, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and Qatar.
