Passenger air transport in Morocco reached an all-time record in June, with an increase of 26.54% compared to the same period in 2018, according to figures published on Monday by the National Airports Office (ONDA).
A total of 2,093,323 travelers passed through the Kingdom's airports during the month of June, representing an additional 439,000 passengers, says the same source in the monthly air traffic report.
A new growth record was also set by Mohammed V airport in Casablanca with a rate of 22.82%, by receiving 877,655 passengers.
This trend concerns the majority of airports, which recorded significant double-digit growth rates: Tangier (38.57%), Marrakech Menara (36.23%), Nador (29.82%) and Fez Saiss (25.24%).
In the same month, domestic traffic grew strongly by 52.97%, as did international traffic, which increased by 23.71%.
