The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) under the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) dismantled, on Saturday, a terrorist cell linked to Daesh (ISIS) composed of five extremists, aged between 24 and 36, including a former detainee on terrorism charges who had fought in the ranks of terrorist groups in Syria.
Elements of this terrorist cell were in contact with supporters of the Daesh group in order to coordinate and prepare attacks targeting the kingdom, the BCIJ said in a statement.
The suspects will be brought to justice at the end of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor, the same source added.
