Algeria’s interim President Abdelkader Bensalah appointed, Thursday, a new ambassador to Morocco, Algerian daily Echorouk reports.
The diplomat Abdelaziz Benali Cherif will replace Ahmed Benyamina, who acted as the country’s ambassador to Rabat for almost nine years, according to Huffpost Maghreb.
For the record, Benali Cherif served before as the spokesperson for the Algerian Foreign Ministry.
The new appointment comes as Bensalah named, Thursday, several new ambassadors to other countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Spain and the United Kingdom.
