The Morocco Observatory Against Normalization condemned, earlier this week, the participation of a former Israeli minister in the World Policy Conference, an international meeting held the weekend in Marrakech.

In a statement published, Tuesday, on its Facebook page, the anti-normalization group said that having the former Israeli Interior Minister Meir Sheetrit attend the international conference is a «crime of penetration», reports London-based newspapers Al-Quds Al-Arabi.

The Observatory denounced what it called a «new Zionist crime of penetration», publishing screenshots of the conference’s schedule which shows that the former Knesset member was one of the attendees.

The same source revealed that Sheetrit is a member of the Moroccan community in Israel and that he was born in the Kingdom. Indeed, the politician was born in Ksar es Souk, near the city of Errachidia, to a Jewish family that immigrated to Israel in 1957.
