Spain's Juan Carlos Garrido becomes new coach of Wydad of Casablanca

Spanish Juan Carlos Garrido is the new coach of the Wydad of Casablanca, replacing French Sébastien Desabre, who stayed only a month with the Moroccan champion, announced, on Tuesday, the prestigious football club.

«This morning (Tuesday) at the Mohammed Benjelloun complex in Casablanca, Juan Carlos Garrido was appointed as coach of the first team of Wydad Athletic, replacing Sébastien Desabre», the club said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

Garrido is the third Wydad coach since last summer, after Serbian Zoran Manojlovic and Desabre, which reflects the deep crisis the club is going through, a few days ahead of the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals against the Tunisians of the «Etoile du Sahel in Sousse» next Saturday at the Mohammed V Complex.
