The Moroccan embassy in Madrid announced on Friday the establishment of a monitoring and communication cell for Moroccans living in Spain, following the spread of the novel coronavirus in several regions of the country.
The cell was set up in coordination with all the Moroccan consulates general in Spain, the embassy said in a release, calling on the Moroccan community to strictly implement the recommendations issued by Spanish health authorities.
The embassy said it has provided telephone numbers for the Moroccan community at the various consulates general of Morocco to contact the relevant services if necessary.
The number of coronavirus cases in Spain soared to 3,142 on Thursday with 84 deaths.
