The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Morocco jumps to 5,000

97 new confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 5,000, the health Ministry announced.

In a recent update, the Ministry reported that 39,076 suspected cases have tested negative for the virus so far. While deaths related to the coronavirus stand at 177, the number of Covid-19 patients who recovered in the Kingdom has reached 1,565.

The confirmed coronavirus cases in the Kingdom are located as follows : 1,306 in Casablanca-Settat, 1,075 in Marrakech-Safi, 710 in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, 642 in Fez-Meknes, 548 in Daraa-Tafilalet, 364 in Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, 175 in the Oriental region, 84 in Beni-Mellal-Khenifra, 51 in Souss Massa, 39 in Guelmim-Oued Noun, 4 in Laayoune-Sakia-El Hamra, 2 in Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab.
