Morocco : Active coronavirus cases stand at 600, recovery rate reaches 90%

As of Thursday, June 4, 81 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 8,003.

These new cases were recorded in the Marrakech-Safi (31 cases), Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (22 cases), Fez-Meknes (14 cases), Casablanca-Settat (12 cases) and Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (2 cases) regions. The other regions did not record any cases in the past 24 hours.

Between Wednesday and Thursday, two deaths were recorded in Morocco, in Guelmim and in Rabat, bringing the death toll to 208 and the fatality rate to 2,6%.

329 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number to 7,195. The recovery rate has increased to 90% in the Kingdom.

The active cases are at 600, only 15 of them are in intensive care (10 in Casablanca, three in Marrakech, one case in Tangier and another in Fez).
