The El Jadida judicial police foiled, on Friday, an attempt to irregularly migrate from the city's beach to the European coasts.
The operation led to the arrest of 23 would-be migrants, including a woman, who were about to leave the coast of El Jadida on board a small boat, according to a statement by the national police (DGSN), stating that these people were in possession of two marine engines and 20 plastic jerry cans containing 400 liters of gasoline.
This case is part of the DGSN's ongoing efforts to combat illegal migration networks and trafficking in human beings, the statement concluded.
