302 new coronavirus cases were recorded during the past 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 18,264.
236 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 15,872, with a recovery rate of 87%.
Seven deaths were recorded (5 in Tangier and 2 in Casablanca), bringing the death toll to 292. The number of active cases in Morocco is 2,100.
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, with 119 new cases : 110 in Tangier, 6 in Larache, two cases in Al Fahs Anjra and one case in M’diq. Next comes the Casablanca-Settat region, with 83 new cases : 80 in Casablanca, two cases in Mohammedia and one in Benslimane.
44 new infections were recorded in Marrakech-Safi, with 40 in Marrakech, three in the province of El Haouz, and one case in Safi.
In Fez-Meknes, 32 new cases were recorded : 24 in Fez, 6 in Meknes and one each in Sefrou and Taounate. In the Oriental region, 4 new cases were recorded in Oujda. In the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, Rabat and Temara each recorded three infections.
In the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, two cases were recorded in Tan Tan and one in Guelmim. As for the Draa-Tafilalet region, two cases were recorded in Midelt and one case was recorded in Ouarzazate.
No new cases were recorded in the Beni Mellal-Khenifra, Souss-Massa and Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra regions today during the same period.
