Information run by electronic sites and on social media about the 48-hour extension of the deadline of the ban on travel to and from cities in the Kingdom is completely unfounded, a reliable source said.

The ban came into effect on Sunday, July 26 at midnight, as announced a joint statement from the Ministries of Interior and of Health.

This decision, which concerns the cities of Tangier, Tetouan, Fez, Meknes, Casablanca, Berrechid, Settat and Marrakech, was taken due to the considerable increase in recent days in cases of Covid-19 contamination in several prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom.
