1,021 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 27,217.
661 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 19,629.
16 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 417. These cases are located in Casablanca (3), Marrakech (3), Meknes (2), Fès (2), Tangier (2), El Hajeb (1), Tétouan (1), Al Hoceima (1) and Benslimane (1).
Morocco now has 7,171 active cases under treatment, most of which are in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (2,046), Casablanca-Settat (1,822), Fès-Meknes (1,758), Marrakech-Safi (577) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (473 cases) regions.
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, with 422 infections : 394 in Casablanca, 11 in Mohammedia, 8 Nouaceur, 4 in Benslimane, 3 in Berrchid and two cases in El Jadida.
Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma region, with 179 new cases : 106 in Tangier, 25 cases in Tétouan, 24 in Al Hoceima, 7 in Al Fahs Anjra, 6 in Ouazzane, 5 in Chefchaouen, 4 in M'diq -Fnideq and two cases in Larache.
In Fez-Meknes, 165 cases were recorded : 140 in Fez, 16 in Meknes, 7 in El Hajeb and two cases in Sefrou. 114 new cases were recorded in Marrakech-Safi : 101 in Marrakech, 10 in Youssoufia, 2 in Essaouira and one case in the province of Rhamna.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, for its part, recorded 67 cases : 24 in Témara, 21 in Sale, 15 in Rabat, 5 in Khmissat, one case in Kénitra and another one in Sidi Slimane.
22 cases were recorded in Béni Mellal-Khénifra (14 in Béni Mellal, 4 in Khouribga, 3 in Khénifra and one case in Fqih Bensalah), 19 in Drâa-Tafilalet (13 in Ouarzazate, 3 in Tinghir, one case in Errachida, one case in Midelt and one case in Zagoura), 16 in the Oriental region (6 in Jerada, 4 in Oujda, 4 in Guercif, one case in Berkane and one case in Taourirt) and 13 in Souss-Massa (8 in Agadir, 4 in Inzeggane and one case in Tiznit).
Four cases were recorded in Dakhla (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
