2,488 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 94,504.
1,962 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 74,930.
28 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,714. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (6), Marrakech (4), Errachidia (3), Kelaat Sraghna (3), Fez (2), Khouribga (2), Settat (1), Salé (1), Chichaoua (1) , Beni Mellal (1), Tetouan (1), Tinghir (1), Oujda-Angad (1) and Oued Ed-Dahab (1).
The country has 17,860 active cases, including 260 in critical conditions. 44 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca, Marrakech and Agadir at the top of the list
The Casablanca-Settat region leads nationally with a total of 932 cases recorded over the past 24 hours: 728 in Casablanca, 54 in Mediouna, 36 in Nouaceur, 32 in Settat, 29 in Mohammedia, 26 in Berrechid, 15 in El Jadida, 7 in Benslimane and 5 cases in Sidi Bennour. The Souss-Massa region follows with 354 new cases : 163 in Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, 157 in Inzegane Aït Melloul, 13 in Chtouka Aït Baha, 13 in Taroudant and 8 cases in Tata.
311 new cases were recorded in Marrakech-Safi : 197 in Marrakech, 50 in Kelaat Sraghna, 20 in the province of Al Haouz, 18 in Essaouira, 17 in Youssoufia and 9 cases in the province of Rhamna.
As for the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, 289 new cases were identified: 133 in Kenitra, 59 in Salé, 47 in Skhirat-Temara, 36 in Rabat and 14 cases in Khemisset.
In Drâa-Tafilalet, 204 new cases were recorded : 93 in Errachidia, 68 in Midelt, 35 in Tinghir, 4 in Ouarzazate and 4 cases in Zagora.
For its part, Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 117 new cases : 37 in Tanger-Assilah, 33 in Tetouan, 18 in M'diq-Fnideq, 11 in Al Hoceima, 11 in Larache and one case in Fahs Anjra.
In the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region, 116 new cases were identified: 45 in Fqih Bensaleh, 26 in Beni Mellal, 24 in Khouribga as well as 21 cases in Khenifra.
72 new cases were recorded in Fez-Meknes (23 in Meknes, 23 in Taza, 11 in Fez, 8 in Ifrane, 4 in Sefrou and 3 in El Hajeb).
As for the southern regions, 14 cases were discovered in Dakhla- Oued Ed-Dahab (Oued Ed-Dahab province) and 14 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (in Guelmim) as well as 8 new infections in the city of Laayoune, in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region.
