Covid-19 : 3,577 new cases recorded in Morocco, mainly in Casablanca, Agadir and Salé

3,577 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 182,580.

2,796 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 151,634.

52 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 3,079.

The country has 27,867 active cases, including 625 in critical conditions. 47 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 1,798 cases: 1,460 in Casablanca, 87 in Mohammedia, 61 in El Jadida, 52 in Nouaceur, 46 in Berrechid, 37 in Settat, 34 in Mediouna, 11 in Benslimane and 10 cases in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kenitra with 379 new infections: 142 in Salé, 110 in Skhirat-Témara, 71 in Rabat, 27 in Khemisset, 26 in Kénitra and 3 cases in Sidi Kacem.

Souss-Massa follows with 318 new cases: 176 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 77 in Taroudant, 46 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 17 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and two cases in Tiznit. 260 cases were confirmed in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima: 89 in Tanger-Assilah, 80 in Tétouan, 40 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 20 in Larache, 18 in Al Hoceima, 9 in Chefchaouen, 3 in Al Fahs Anjra and a case in Ouazzane.

The Oriental region recorded 248 new cases: 120 in Oujda-Angad, 67 in Nador, 22 in Berkane, 14 in Jerada, 13 in Taourirt, 9 in Figuig and 3 cases in Guercif.

Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 207 new confirmed cases: 70 in Khouribga, 52 in Beni Mellal, 48 in Fqih Bensaleh, 30 in Azilal and 7 in Khénifra.

165 infections were confirmed in Marrakech-Safi (103 in Marrakech, 18 in Essaouira, 14 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 12 in the province of Rhamna, 11 in Youssoufia, 4 in Chichaoua and 3 in El Haouz), 74 in Drâa-Tafilalet (32 in Errachidia, 18 in Ouarzazate, 14 in Tinghir and 10 in Midelt) and 49 in Fès-Meknes (16 in Fès, 13 in Meknès, 7 in Boulmane, 4 in El Hajeb, 4 in Sefrou, 3 in Taza and two cases in Ifrane).

In the southern provinces, 45 infections were recorded in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (28 in Laâyoune, 16 in Es-Smara and one case in Boujdour), the province of Oued Ed-Dahab confirmed 20 new infections and 14 cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (13 in Guelmim and one case in Assa Zag).
