3,170 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 259,951.
3,104 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 212,905.
84 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,356. 37 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 12 in the Oriental, 9 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 8 in Souss-Massa, 5 in Marrakech-Safi, 5 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 4 in Fès-Meknes, 3 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima and 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet.
The country has 42,690 active cases, including 959 in critical conditions. 73 of them are on ventilators.
The Casablanca-Settat recorded 1,177 new cases: 1,005 Casablanca, 45 in Settat, 36 in El Jadida, 32 in Mohammedia, 30 in Nouaceur, 20 in Mediouna, 7 in Berrechid and 2 cases in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 953 new cases: 393 in Salé, 186 in Kénitra, 186 in Skhirat-Témara, 130 in Rabat, 47 in Sidi Slimane, 9 in Khemisset and 2 cases in Sidi Kacem.
The Oriental region follows with 279 new infections: 183 in Oujda-Angad, 67 in Nador, 11 in Guercif, 8 in Taourirt, 5 in Jerada, 2 in Driouch, 2 in Figuig and one case in Berkane. 228 cases were confirmed in Souss-Massa: 85 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 46 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 39 in Taroudant, 31 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 27 cases in Tiznit.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 165 new infections: 54 in Tanger-Assilah, 30 in Ouazzane, 27 in Tétouan, 23 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 17 in Chefchaouen and 14 cases in Al Hoceima.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 148 new cases: 62 in Marrakech, 31 in Essaouira, 22 in Youssoufia, 21 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 6 cases in Chichaoua and 6 others in Rhamna. In Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 83 cases were recorded: 26 in Khénifra, 25 in Khouribga, 12 in Azilal, 12 in Fqih Bensaleh and 8 cases in Beni Mellal.
48 infections were recorded in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab (Oued Ed-Dahab province), 46 in Fès-Meknès (15 in Fès, 15 in Sefrou, 10 in Meknes, 4 in Taza and 2 in Ifrane) as well as 35 in Drâa-Tafilalet (18 in Midelt, 3 in Zagora, 3 in Ouarzazate and one case in Tinghir).
In the southern provinces, 16 new infections were recorded in the city of Laâyoune (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra) while Guelmim and Sidi Ifni (Guelmim-Oued Noun) each confirmed one case.
