Morocco : 3.4-magnitude quake shakes Azilal province

An earthquake with a 3.4-magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded on Monday in the province of Azilal, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The earthquake, whose epicenter is located in the commune of Zaouiate Ahansal, occurred at 20h 58min 17sec (GMT+1), said the ING National Seismic Monitoring and Alarm Network in a seismic alarm bulletin.

The tremor is 8 km deep, with a latitude of 31.909 °N and a longitude of  -5.447°W, the source added.
