Covid-19 : 520 new infections and 22 deaths this Sunday in Morocco

520 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 466,289.

748 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 442,441.

22 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,150. 6 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 4 in Marrakech-Safi, 3 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 2 in Fès-Meknès, 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet, 1 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 1 in the Oriental, 1 in Souss-Massa and 1 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra.

The country has 15,698 active cases, including 767 in critical conditions. 66 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 138 infections: 96 in Casablanca, 17 in Nouaceur, 11 in El Jadida, 11 in Mohammedia, 2 in Berrechid and 1 in Mediouna. Then comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 89 new cases: 30 in Tetouan, 24 in Al Hoceima, 16 in M'diq-Fnideq, 10 in Tanger-Assilah, 6 in Chefchaouen and 3 in Larache.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 88 cases: 27 in Salé, 18 in Kénitra, 16 in Skhirat-Témara, 12 in Sidi Kacem, 9 in Rabat, 5 in Sidi Slimane and 1 in Khemisset. 56 new infections were recorded in Marrakech-Safi: 33 in Marrakech, 8 in Essaouira, 8 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 3 in Safi, 2 in Chichaoua and 2 in the province of Rhamna.

The Oriental region recorded 49 cases: 22 in Oujda-Angad, 10 in Nador, 10 in Berkane, 3 in Taourirt, 3 in Jerada and 1 in Guercif. Souss-Massa recorded 47 infections: 30 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 12 in Inzegane-Aït Melloul, 3 in Taroudant and 2 in Tiznit.

16 confirmed cases were recorded in Fès-Meknes (7 in Fez, 6 in Taza and 3 in Meknes), 15 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (11 in Laâyoune and 4 in Boujdour) and 9 in Drâa-Tafilalet (4 in Tinghir, 3 in Midelt and 2 in Ouarzazate). 

5 infections were confirmed in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (3 in Beni Mellal and 2 in Khénifra), 5 in Guelmim-Oued Noun (4 in Sidi Ifni and 1 in Tan Tan) and 3 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
