Bab Sebta border crossing renovated and ready for the opening of the border with Ceuta

Morocco took advantage of the closure of the borders with Ceuta, to renovate the Bab Sebta border crossing and renew its facilities. According to Ceuta Actualidad, «the old border crossing has thus been transformed into a modern and functional one».

For the Spanish media, the inauguration of Bab Sebta, scheduled for the summer, raises several hypotheses since it will coincide with Operation Marhaba 2021 and its equivalent in Spain, Paso del Estrecho. 

The same source emphasizes, however, that return of Moroccans living abroad in Europe will however depend on vaccination.

«There is no doubt that the opening of the border will depend on the interests of Morocco», the same source concluded.
