Morocco to go back to GMT ahead of Ramadan

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Morocco will go back to the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on Sunday, April 11, at 3.00 a.m., announced the ministry of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform - Department of Administration Reform.

The decision is in conformity with article 2 of decree n° 2.18.855 issued on Safar 16, 1440 hegira (Oct. 26, 2018) related to time changing, said the ministry in a statement.

After the month of Ramadan, the clock will be put forward one hour (GMT+1) on May 16, 2021 at 2 a.m., it added.
