Covid-19 in Morocco : 364 new infections and 1 death on Sunday

364 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 505,811.

273 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 491,810.

1 death was recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 8,945. The death was recorded in Casablanca-Settat.

The country has 5,056 active cases, including 430 in critical conditions. 14 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 218 infections: 197 in Casablanca, 12 in Nouaceur, 7 in Mediouna and 2 in El Jadida. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 35 cases: 14 in Skhirat-Témara, 8 in Kénitra, 5 in Rabat, 5 in Sidi Kacem, 2 in Salé and 1 in Khemisset.

Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra follows with 22 cases: 21 in Laâyoune and 1 in Boujdour. In addition, 18 infections were identified in Marrakech-Safi: 15 in Marrakech, 2 in Kelaa des Sraghna and 1 in Youssoufia.

Souss-Massa recorded 16 cases: 6 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 5 in Tiznit, 4 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima has identified 14 new infections: 5 in Tanger-Assilah, 5 in M'Diq-Fnideq and 4 in Tetouan.

There are also 12 confirmed infections in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (7 in Khouribga, 2 in Beni Mellal, 1 in Khénifra, 1 in Azilal and 1 in Fqih Bensaleh), 11 cases declared in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab ( Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) as well as 6 infections identified in the Oriental (3 in Oujda-Angad, 2 in Jerada and 1 in Driouch).

Lastly, Fès-Meknes recorded 6 new cases (3 in Fès, 2 in Taounate and 1 in Taza) while 6 other infections were recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (3 in Ouarzazate, 2 in Errachidia and 1 in Zagora).
