Covid-19 in Morocco : 363 new infections and 3 deaths on Friday

363 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 511,249. 5,054,642 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine so far, while 4,260,412 people have received the second.

516 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 497,621.

3 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19-related deaths to 9,023. 2 of these deaths were recorded in Casablanca-Settat and 1 in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab.

The country has 4,605 active cases, including 329 in critical conditions. 16 of them are on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat recorded 253 cases: 196 in Casablanca, 14 in Berrechid, 12 in Mohammedia, 11 in El Jadida, 8 in Nouaceur, 6 in Médiouna, 4 in Settat and 2 in Benslimane. Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 32 cases: 28 in Marrakech, 2 in Rehamna, 1 in El Kelâa des Sraghna and 1 in Safi.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 25 cases: 7 in Skhirat-Témara, 7 in Salé, 5 in Rabat, 3 in Kénitra, 2 in Sidi Slimane and 1 in Sidi Kacem. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 13 cases: 5 in Tanger-Assilah, 3 in Larache, 2 in M'diq-Fnideq, 2 in Tétouan and 1 in Ouezzane. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 11 cases, all in Laâyoune.

9 infections were recorded in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, all in Oued Ed-Dahab. Souss-Massa recorded 8 cases: 4 in Taroudant, 3 in Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane and 1 in Inezgane-Aït Melloul. The Oriental region confirmed 4 cases: in Oujda-Angad, 1 in Nador and 1 in Guercif. Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 3 in Guelmim. Beni Mellal-Khénifra confirmed 2 in Khouribga.

Drâa-Tafilalet follows with 2 cases: 1 in Zagora and 1 in Tinghir. Fès-Meknes recorded 1 in Fez.
