Morocco receives more than two million additional doses of China’s Sinopharm vaccine

Morocco received on Sunday, May 23, a new shipment of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine Sinopharm.

A Royal Air Maroc plane landed today at the Mohammed V International Airport, loaded with more than two million doses of the Chinese vaccine, according to several news sources.

On the 19th of this month, Morocco received another shipment of two million doses of the same vaccine. Said Afif, a member of the Scientific Committee for Vaccination, had confirmed in a statement to Yabiladi that Morocco will receive the remaining five million doses before the end of this month, and with the arrival of this new shipment on Sunday, Morocco is now waiting for almost 3 million doses to arrive.

On Saturday, May 22nd, the number of vaccinated people in Morocco reached 7, 635,674 people.
