4-magnitude earthquake shakes Driouch province

An earthquake with a 4-magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded Thursday night in the province of Driouch, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The earthquake, whose epicentre is located off the coast of the province of Driouch, occurred at 23h55min42sec (GMT+1), said the ING National Seismic Monitoring and Alarm Network in a seismic alarm bulletin.

The tremor is 17 km deep, with a latitude of 35.533 °N and a longitude of 3.515°W, the source added.
