The Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, met with his Palestinian counterpart, Imad Hamdan, in Rabat on Sunday. During the meeting, the two ministers emphasized the strong and enduring relationship between Morocco and Palestine, as well as King Mohammed VI's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
Bensaid reiterated Morocco's consistent support for a peaceful two-state solution in the Middle East, aimed at establishing a just and lasting peace. He referenced King Mohammed VI's recent speech from the throne, which addressed developments in the Gaza Strip, highlighting the King's continued commitment to the Palestinian cause.
The Moroccan minister also emphasized the importance of cultural cooperation between the two countries, noting their plans to implement various programs and agreements in this area.
In response, the Palestinian minister expressed gratitude for Morocco's unwavering support and praised King Mohammed VI's efforts for the Palestinian cause. He also acknowledged the role of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency in implementing concrete projects in Al-Quds and Palestine.
The meeting discussed the exchange of expertise and skills to foster closer cultural ties between Morocco and Palestine, and the need to update the executive program of cultural cooperation. Additionally, they agreed to strengthen cooperation within regional and international institutions and promote bilateral cultural cooperation.
