Morocco will be the guest of honor at the 4th edition of the Cotonou Film and Digital Encounters in Benin, scheduled for October 5-12, 2024.
According to the organizers, this edition will feature screenings of films in competition, panel discussions, training workshops, and a ceremony to award the best cinematic works.
A total of 117 works from 21 African countries and the diaspora were submitted. From this pool, 9 feature-length films, 26 shorts, and 14 documentaries were selected for the cinematic encounters.
The festival also includes training workshops on scriptwriting, cinematography, and sound recording for 294 guests from 13 African countries. Additionally, a symposium will be held on the theme of «Cinema as a Tool in the Fight Against Violent Extremism».
