Akdital expands with acquisition of two Healthcare facilities in Laayoune

The AKDITAL Group, a leader in Morocco’s private healthcare sector, has received approval from the Competition Council to acquire two medical establishments in Laayoune: the International Polyclinic of Laayoune and Al Hikma Medical Center. This strategic move marks another step in the Group’s expansion, now spanning 11 regions across the Kingdom.

Al Hikma Medical Center, a multidisciplinary facility with 76 beds, is already fully operational under AKDITAL’s management. It offers a wide range of healthcare services, including medical consultations, radiological exams, laboratory tests, and surgical procedures.

The International Polyclinic of Laayoune, a 240-bed facility, is currently being prepared for its scheduled opening on May 2, 2025. This flagship hospital will provide 24/7 care, featuring centers of excellence in cardiology, oncology (including medical and radiotherapy), neurosurgery, pediatrics, orthopedic surgery, gynecology-obstetrics, sports medicine, and internal medicine.

With this expansion, AKDITAL strengthens its commitment to accessible healthcare and supports the rollout of Mandatory Health Insurance (AMO). Its presence in Laâyoune further reinforces its role in enhancing Morocco’s national healthcare network.
