The French halal-certified food brand Isla Délice has strongly condemned the spread of what it describes as «false information on social media» following the publication of a misleading article. In a statement to Yabiladi, the company said it was dismayed by content riddled with «misunderstandings and inaccuracies», stressing that it was «never contacted for verification».

Isla Délice firmly denied any link to Israel, stating: «Contrary to the claims currently circulating, Isla Délice has no ties or activities in Israel».

According to the company, «fake news and repeated attempts at conspiracy-driven disinformation» have been circulating for several months. The situation escalated after a change in shareholding on December 16, when A&M Capital Europe (AMCE) became the majority shareholder. Isla Délice says this development «triggered a new wave of disinformation».

With 35 years of experience in the halal food sector, the company underlined that it operates exclusively in Europe, with its main markets in France, Spain, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. The statement further clarified:

«Our majority shareholder, A&M Capital Europe, is a private and independent investment firm based in London and Milan, whose activities are strictly European».

Often described as «French consumers» favorite halal brand, Isla Délice warned that such accusations are harmful «to its 350 employees and all its partners». Emphasizing its «commitment to transparency», the company said it remains available to answer questions and provide clarification via [email protected].
