A «professional, safe, and fully compliant» slaughtering service meeting current health standards will be made available to residents at Casablanca’s municipal slaughterhouses for Eid al-Adha 2026, local development company Casablanca Prestations announced.

In a statement, Casablanca Prestations said the service will be offered at the unchanged rate of 240 dirhams, tax included, within the slaughtering capacity of the municipal slaughterhouses located in Sidi Othmane.

The company will also provide an animal boarding service for up to 48 hours before the day of sacrifice, on May 25 and 26, at a rate of 24 dirhams per night, tax included.

According to the company, the initiative aims to enable families who lack suitable space at home to perform the Eid al-Adha rites in a clean, secure, and properly organized environment that complies with hygiene and sanitation standards.

As in previous years, all slaughtering operations will be carried out by qualified teams in accordance with current health regulations and quality standards. Dedicated and secure facilities within the slaughterhouse stables will also ensure animal welfare and allow livestock to rest before the sacrifice.

Through this initiative, the Municipality of Casablanca and Casablanca Prestations said they aim to emphasize the importance of hygiene and sanitation during the religious holiday, particularly regarding waste management, the cleanliness of public spaces, and the preservation of the urban environment.

Casablanca’s municipal slaughterhouses, approved by the National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA), also maintain dual certification under ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 9001:2015 standards, in addition to their Halal label, reflecting their continued commitment to quality, food safety, and sound management.
