For the 2026 World Cup, coinciding with the busy summer travel season and a sharp rise in air traffic, Airports of Morocco has launched an exceptional plan for passengers. The aim is to turn Morocco’s airports into «gathering places around the national team and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation», according to a statement. To that end, fan zones have been set up at Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat-Salé, Marrakech-Menara, Agadir Al Massira, Fès-Saïss, and Tangier Ibn Battouta airports, where passengers can watch the Atlas Lions’ matches live.

«Equipped with giant screens and designed as genuine spaces for shared enjoyment, these areas give everyone the chance to experience the emotion, excitement, and pride surrounding the national team’s journey, all while waiting for a flight», the same source said. In this way, airports are being transformed into true «meeting spaces where a passion for football comes together with excellence in hospitality».

In the same spirit, immersive experiences are being rolled out in the colors of the Atlas Lions, offering «a deep dive into the world of the Moroccan national team». Beyond ensuring smooth passenger flows, the initiative seeks to «help make Moroccan airports places for gathering, sharing, and celebration, where supporters can experience the emotions together» around the national eleven.

In other words, the initiative comes as airports face a «peak in activity», during which Airports of Morocco teams remain fully mobilized alongside the Ministry of the Interior, the General Directorate for National Security (DGSN), the Royal Gendarmerie, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII), the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, Royal Air Maroc, and other operational stakeholders.
