Moroccan police arrested a 35-year-old German national of Kosovan origin at Casablanca's Mohammed V International Airport on Saturday, July 11, after he arrived on an international flight. According to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the suspect was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice issued at the request of German authorities.

Interpol checks revealed he was wanted by Germany's National Central Bureau in Wiesbaden for his alleged involvement in the international trafficking of a shipment of cannabis resin and the deliberate arson of a vehicle as part of a criminal settling of scores.

The suspect has been placed under extradition proceedings under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, while Interpol Rabat has notified its German counterpart of the arrest.
