Manchester City are stepping up their pursuit of Moroccan international Ayyoub Bouaddi following his standout performances at the 2026 World Cup, with the 18-year-old Lille midfielder expected to make a decision on his future soon, according to The Athletic.
The report says Bouaddi's impressive displays during Morocco's run to the World Cup quarter-finals have further increased interest from Europe's top clubs. While Manchester City are currently pushing hardest to secure his signature, Arsenal and Manchester United have also been in contact with the player's camp over the past year.
Lille are reportedly open to selling the midfielder for the right price, with his valuation believed to be around €100 million. According to The Athletic, City would prefer to integrate Bouaddi into Pep Guardiola's squad immediately, rather than allow him to remain on loan at Lille for another season.
