Morocco’s olive oil exports to Spain rose sharply in the first four months of this year compared to the same period in 2025, according to data released by Spain’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Business.
The figures show that Moroccan exports reached 10,384.7 tonnes between January and April 2026, compared to just 103 tonnes during the same period last year.
In value terms, exports of Moroccan olive oil climbed to 32.76 million euros by the end of April, up from no more than 340 thousand euros over the same period in 2025.
The surge is attributed, on the one hand, to Morocco’s strong 2025/2026 harvest, with production estimated at around 200,000 tonnes, more than double the previous season’s output, and, on the other, to lower prices for Moroccan olive oil, which strengthened its competitiveness in the Spanish market.
