The Polisario Front welcomed Horst Kohler, the Personal Envoy for Western Sahara pointed recently by the UN Secretary-General, on Wednesday morning. Trucks and utility vehicles transported hundreds of Sahrawis to the «Aousserd camp» to receive the UN official.

History is repeating itself in the Polisario camps as the same thing happened in March 2016, when Ban Ki-moon, the former personal envoy to Western Sahara visited the region.

The former German president is supposed to stay in the camps until Friday, 20th of October. On Tuesday, Horst Kohler was received by King Mohammed VI in Rabat. The meeting was attended by Fouad Ali El Himma, senior adviser of the sovereign, Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and David Schwake, the special advisor of Kohle, as reported by MAP news agency.

Kohler also met with the Moroccan Prime Minister, Saadeddine El Othmani.
