Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita receives US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs

Foreign minister Nasser Bourita received, on Monday in Rabat, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, ambassador David Hale.

During this visit, which is part of the strategic partnership between the two countries, Bourita and Hale discussed means to further reinforce the strategic dialogue, in addition to regional issues of shared interest, said a statement by the ministry of foreign affairs.

In December, 2018, David Hale visited Morocco and Algeria with the objective of bringing together the positions of the two main actors in the Sahara issue.

For several months, David Hale has been holding meetings with Moroccan and Algerian officials to convince them to resume negotiations. Hale also received Horst Köhler.
