Two Moroccans arrested for helping two Algerian migrants enter Ceuta using water scooters

Spain’s Civil Guard and the Underwater Activities Task Force foiled, Tuesday, an irregular migration attempt, during which two water scooters were used.

The Spanish authorities arrested two Moroccan nationals who wanted to enter Ceuta, using jet skis, with two Algerians and who planned to return to Morocco.

According to local Spanish newspaper La Verdad de Ceuta and Ceutaldia, the two Moroccans dropped the two migrants near the Potabilizadora beach. The two men were later stopped in the Spanish waters.

The two drivers were arrested and the two water scooters were seized. The two arrestees will appear in court Wednesday.
