The Ministry of Industry and Trade launched on Friday, October 25, an investigation to review the anti-dumping measures applied on imports of insulin from Denmark.

According to Arabic-language newspaper Al Akhbar, the ministry has at the same time decided to maintain anti-dumping duties on the products, through the period of the investigation.

This investigation was launched following the request of a Moroccan laboratory that produces insulin, the same newspaper wrote. It indicates that the national market is «flooded by insulin produced and exported to the country by a Danish company that has never invested in Morocco».

Al Akhbar reports that the Moroccan laboratory’s report shows that the prices of the Danish insulin exported to the Kingdom are «ten times higher than those produced in Morocco».
