A 33-year-old Senegalese, who is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the Mauritanian authorities, was arrested, Sunday, at the Mohammed VI airport in Casablanca.
The General Directorate for National Security (DGSN) said in a statement that the suspect was arrested upon his arrival at the international airport Mohammed V from Italy.
The Senegalese is the subject of a red notice issued by Interpol in a case of fraud, the statement said.
The foreign national was taken into custody in accordance with the extradition procedure, while the Mauritanian authorities were informed of his arrest, the same source said.
