A suspicious package discovered in a reception center for minors in Madrid

A reception center for unaccompanied minor migrant in Madrid was evacuated, Wednesday, after a grenade was found within a suspicious package.

Police told Spanish news agency EFE that they have evacuated the center and managed the bomb found inside the package. Investigators suggest that the package was thrown inside the courtyard of the center, without giving further details.

«We were very scared. We were evacuated, then we heard the loud explosion», said a minor who is staying in the center.

For the record, this is not the first incident that takes place in the center. According to the agency, hundreds of people gathered on November 17 in front of the minor reception center to ask for more security in the neighborhood, urging the community of Madrid to provide solutions.

«The interim Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, fuels this type of incidents with his speeches», filled with hatred and intolerance, the same source said.
