Moroccan UFC feather fighter Youssef Zalal, also known as the «Moroccan Devil», made, Saturday in Texas, his first Octagon win at UFC 247, MMA Fighting wrote on Monday.

The Casablanca-born fighter defeated Austin Lingo with a unanimous decision to open the preliminary card at UFC 247 in Houston.

After his fight, Youssef Zalal told media that «it felt amazing to make [his] UFC debut in Houston, opening up a pay-per-view event». «I started as a kick-boxing kid in Morocco, now look at me in Texas (…) I can’t be more grateful and blessed».

«It is an awesome experience», he added, referring to his recent fight and the way he got into the fighting in the United States.

«I know I belong in there. I know my manager, my coaches, everybody was waiting for me to get my shot, and it finally came. Doing my walk to the octagon for the first time, seeing what it feels like – obviously, I didn’t feel like myself», said the 23-year-old fighter.
