Head of Government Saadeddine el Othmani met, on Monday in Rabat, with President of the Saudi Shura Council Abdullah Ibn Muhammad Al-Sheikh, who is on a visit to the kingdom, on means to develop the Moroccan-Saudi relations.
During these talks, the two sides affirmed the will of the two kingdoms to work together to develop bilateral cooperation in the economic, political and diplomatic fields, said a statement from the Department of the Head of Government.
The Head of Government welcomed, on this occasion, the good relations uniting the two countries, which match the bilateral fraternal and historical ties, it added.
El Otmani also lauded Saudi Arabia's position on the Sahara issue, noting that King Mohammed VI attaches great importance to stability and security and that the countries' sovereignty and peoples' interests must take precedence over all other considerations.
The Saudi official stressed the need to develop diplomatic and parliamentary cooperation and to consolidate bilateral cooperation on all the issues that require more coordination.
This meeting took place in the presence of the Saudi ambassador in Rabat and several parliamentarians and other figures accompanying the President of the Saudi Shura Council.
