A Moroccan national among UAE's 15 new confirmed cases of coronavirus

Health authorities in the United Arab Emirates announced, Saturday, 15 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the number of confirmed Covid-19 infections to 45, Gulf News reports.

According to the country’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the new 15 affected patients in UAE include a Moroccan national. The latter was diagnosed with the virus alongside other foreign nationals from Thailand, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia and Iran.  

The Health Ministry stressed that it is currently «handling all infected cases in accordance with international protocols to protect the community».

Health authorities did not give further details about the Moroccan national who tested positive for the virus in the UAE.

In Morocco, the health authorities announced to confirmed coronavirus cases earlier this week. They are two Moroccans who traveled to Italy, one of the most affected countries in Europe by the virus.
